Bird Girl
Bird Girl
Bird Girl - Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Created by sculptor Sylvia Shaw Judson in 1936, she initially graced a family plot in Bonaventure Cemetery, her outstretched hands holding bowls meant for birdseed. It was the iconic novel *Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil* that propelled her to fame. Her image on the cover captured the imagination of readers worldwide, forever linking her to Savannah. There is a dedicated room at Telfair Academy. She was brought here to protect herself from possible vandalism, also to keep the growing number of tourists overpopulating the cemetery.
