Savannah made simple
Savannah made simple

Bar Bibi at Hotel Bardo - Savannah has plenty of places to drink. It has plenty of places to eat. What it has not had, until now, is this. Tucked just off Forsyth Park, behind those doors you might have once assumed were reserved for members only, Bar Bibi has quietly shifted the energy. What was recently limited to hotel guests and Club Bardo members is now open to the rest of us, and it feels like Savannah just gained something it did not know it was missing. Step inside and the first thing that hits you is that green trellis ceiling, a soaring glass canopy wrapped in painted iron that feels pulled straight from the Mediterranean coast. Sunlight filters through in soft ribbons. Ceiling fans spin lazily overhead. The black and white tiled floor anchors wicker chairs, oversized terracotta pots, and linen drapes that move just enough to remind you that you are somewhere special. The menu leans fully into that Mediterranean rhythm. Bright, herb driven cocktails. Light coastal plates meant for sharing. Simple ingredients treated with care, kissed by flame, finished with citrus and good olive oil. Fresh greens, cured elements, warm bread, clean flavors that feel sun washed and unfussy. This is the kind of place where you can slip in for a quick spritz and stay for lunch. Or arrive dressed up and not feel out of place. Right off Forsyth Park, but somehow removed from it, Bar Bibi offers that rare Savannah luxury, an escape without ever leaving town.
