Beach Vibes-Music Festival Hits Tybee Island

On Nov. 4, Tybee Post Music Festival is preparing to host its most epic music festival yet, set against the backdrop of the cool ocean breeze and crashing waves. Headliners Everclear, Spin Doctors, and Keller Williams will lead the music-filled day.
Connect Savannah interviewed Art Alexakis of Everclear and Keller Williams in anticipation of the event. For Alexakis, Tybee Post Music Festival’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean brought back memories.
“I grew up in a seaside town. I grew up in Santa Monica. But when I was older and I started Everclear I just remember, I was really anxious and had anxiety and depression issues. And when we would go to the coast in Oregon, it would go away,” Alexakis said, the lead singer of Everclear.
Williams had similar reflections about the therapeutic benefits the ocean brings. “It’s just one of those things, you know, where I just connect with folks at the beach. And folks that love the water, and are not afraid to wear shorts in the winter” Williams shared.

The festival’s music aims to amplify the already beautiful ocean setting while enhancing the overall ambiance. “For one thing, being on the ocean, in a beautiful place is just a great place to be in the end. Adding music to it just makes it better,” expressed Keller.
“So many different moods and vibes you can get while sitting at the beach staring at the ocean,” said Keller Williams. “Looking at the horizon, the ocean meets the sky. I want to be there right now.”
We couldn’t agree more.
The festival promises to deliver an incredible lineup of ten bands, bringing their unique sounds and infectious beats to create a music-filled day by the beach.
Among the lists of acts are the previously mentioned Everclear, Spin Doctors, and Keller Williams, who are sure to get any music enthusiast excited. Other acts such as The Nth Power and The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will help to make for an unforgettable day. Local favorites Lyn Avenue and Intracoastal Playboys will infuse the festival with their own unique sounds, combining country, rock, and bluegrass. Jazz aficionados will be thrilled with the Eric Jones Trio’s captivating performances. Acoustic Office featuring the incredibly talented Ricardo Ochoa, and Justin Vreeland and Los Hermanos Mirafuentes will round out the lineup.
Tybee Post Theatre Music Festival’s diverse lineup certainly appeals to Alexakis, “I think that’s what festivals are all about really is not necessarily one type of music that’s being displayed but all different kinds and I think it’s going to be all different ages to folks.”
The festival aims to bring together a diverse array of musical genres, appealing to music lovers of all ages.
Attendees are advised to arrive early, secure the best spots on the beachfront, and come fully prepared with shades, sunscreen, and dancing sneakers. Bring your own lawn chair, or rent one on-site.
