And yet, somehow, it\u2019s hopeful too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">\u201cI like to see things as they are and not have any manipulation to it,\u201d Randall tells me. \u201cEverything deserves to have a meaning and an existence.\u201d That philosophy bleeds through his work, moody, grainy shots of forgotten corners, or forgotten people, a rusted mailbox clinging to a fence. Things most of us pass without a second glance. Before the lens, there was music. A different kind of storytelling. \u201cI think I picked up a camera after playing music for a long time, and felt like I didn\u2019t really hold on to a lot of memories,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">There\u2019s a moody, cinematic quality to his images, but it\u2019s not artifice. Randall isn\u2019t interested in glossy perfection or airbrushed realities. \u201cI guess, kind of like a sad, bleak, but hopeful existence of modern life,\u201d is how he describes his work. \u201cMy photos are sad, but also, they have that glimmer of just like, reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad_width1\">\n<div class=\"fl-lt ad_width2\">\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">It\u2019s that commitment to authenticity that makes his unexpected foray into wedding photography so compelling. Weddings, in their cookie cutter, Pinterest board glory, aren\u2019t typically playgrounds for gritty, honest storytelling. But Randall, true to form, made them his own. \u201cI wanted to shoot it as if I was shooting whatever else I shoot all the time,\u201d he says. \u201cMy vision of what a dreamy wedding is, is like, I don\u2019t know, super low, dim lighting, capturing really authentic moments and not so staged like you see in weddings all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"fl-rt ad_width2\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/savannahmadesimple.com\/Magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Randall-Patrick-2.jpg\" style=\"width:100%;\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Randall is the kind of guy who seems allergic to pretense. When I ask what\u2019s next, there\u2019s no grand master plan. No self important manifesto about the meaning of art.
